Donald C. Eskett, 68, passed away on September 21, 2020 from Lewy Body Dementia.
Don was raised in the quaint town of Belchertown, Massachusetts. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved nature and all animals.
He spent countless hours hiking, canoeing, camping, fishing and hunting in Western Massachusetts.
A sheet metal mechanic by trade he was also a talented carpenter and wood carver who created exceptional one-of-a-kind pieces.
He had a super fun sense of humor and a gentle caring heart for his wife and family. He was an incredible father and a patient teacher of his crafts. He was easy going and fun. A good man who loved pig roasts, a good laugh, his dog, and the regulars at the Grapevine Grill.
He is preceded by his beloved wife, Linda (Gosselin) Eskett, deeply loved brother John Eskett, father, Charles Henry Eskett, mother, Mary (Lane) Eskett, and step mother, Jane (Wilson) Eskett.
He has left behind many family and friends including his daughter, grandson and son-in-law Shelby, Christian & Joel Frenette of Delray Beach, where he resided for the last few years of his life. While there he enjoyed frequent visits by his beloved brother & sister-in-law William & Maryellen Eskett of Port Charlotte, Fl.
He also leaves behind loved nieces and nephews Michael & Sheila Eskett Granby, Ma. Bill Jr. & Jessica Eskett Chicopee, Ma. Kelly Blodgette Niantic, Ct. Karen Eskett New London, Ct. As well as brother and sister-in-law Henry, Irene and their children Mary, Carrol and Charles (Chucky) Eskett.
Due to covid we will be planning a celebration sometime in 2021. If you would like to be invited to Don’s celebration of life gathering please email All who knew him fondly are welcomed to this friendly memorial, place TBA.
Our family truly wants to thank the Belchertown community for supporting my father during the latter stages of this debilitating disease. It was humbling to find out how many of the community looked after him when things got confusing for him. We are forever grateful for your kindness. #BelchertownProud

Ah Shelby, I'm sorry to read of the loss of your dad and my (and so many others) good friend.
Donny was always a joy to be with and could genuinely make you laugh and feel good.
I fondly remember the pig roasts and the air shows he and I went to together.
I wish I had stayed closer these last few years.
Charlie (Ray)
