In Loving Memory of Carmen Jane Hopkins

Carmen Jane Hopkins, 83, of Coral Springs, Florida, passed away on October 10, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a family who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Born on October 25, 1942, in Sliema, Malta, Carmen crossed the ocean to the United States, where she built a life centered on her children, her family, and the many things she loved. In her later years, she made her home in Coral Springs, Florida, with her daughter Carolyn and son-in-law Rodney.

Carmen was loving, generous, creative, and strong-willed. She always put her children first and took great pride in giving them a childhood filled with love, adventure, and lasting memories.

In her younger years, Carmen loved entertaining family and friends and was often the life of the party. Her home was filled with activity, laughter, and creativity. Whether making ceramics together in the basement or spending weekends camping, snowmobiling, and traveling with her family, she created experiences her children would cherish for a lifetime.

Creativity was woven throughout Carmen’s life. She had a passion for gardening, embroidery, jewelry making, and crafts of all kinds. She could often be found in her garden, happily planting something new, or working on her latest creation. Her generous spirit shone through in the beautiful handmade jewelry and gifts she so freely shared with others.

As the years passed, Carmen came to appreciate a quieter life, finding contentment in her home, her garden, and the creative pursuits she loved.

Carmen is survived by her three children, Carolyn Brown (Rodney), Stephen Galli, and Charles Hopkins (Jennifer); her four grandchildren, Cody Galli, Monet DiVentura, Emily Hopkins, and Kevin Hopkins; and her sister, Doris Bodman (Mike), of England.

Carmen often said, “I lived a very good life.” Those simple words beautifully reflect a life filled with experiences, adventures, creativity, and memories that will live on through all who knew and loved her.

Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of her family forever.
