Carolyn Louise Doll, 80, of Juno Beach, Florida, died on September 2, 2026, in Riviera Beach, FL.
She was born in Rochester, New York, to Franklin and Loretta Doll. She graduated from Houghton College in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and began her career with Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester.
Carolyn spent the central years of her professional life in Manhattan, New York. She worked in the World Trade Center and experienced the events of September 11, 2001, from a deeply personal vantage point, having been ill that day and not gone in. She and her husband, John "Jack" Lammers, Jr., lost many friends in that tragedy. She later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, which became a healing ground in the years that followed. Three years before her death, she relocated to Juno Beach, where she looked forward to playing tennis and to pursuing a meaningful goal that would enrich the lives of others.
Throughout her life, Carolyn valued the guidance of her parents and expressed appreciation for the family and friends who were part of her journey. Her life included significant professional work, joy in caring for her mother in her later years, and a continued interest in contributing to others.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Barbara Coman. She is survived by her nieces, Marcia Coman of Sevierville, Tennessee, and Michelle Woeck of Sevierville, Tennessee; and her great-nephews, Alex and Connor Woeck.
There will not be a formal service, but the family encourages friends and family to celebrate the life of Carolyn in their own way. She will be laid to rest next to her parents in White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Blood Cancer United, Attn: Donor Services, PO Box 22324, New York, NY 10087.
