Charles Patrick Darling

Charles Patrick Darling (61), aka "miracle man" passed away on September 26th, 2025. Charlie or "Chas" grew up in Potomac, Maryland and attended Winston Churchill High School class of 1982. He held various career roles in computer repair, jewelry repair for J.C. Penny, construction and later as a mortgage broker for Summit Mortgage Company in Ft. Lauderdale. Chas was a die hard Washington Redskin fan and his love for football and all sports was well known to everyone! Chas had a charismatic personality and he could make anyone feel good and laugh. He lived his life on the edge and was fearless. Despite great health obstacles since 2007, Charlie accepted his condition with strength, character and even humor. When asked what he wanted for Christmas he would request "legs." Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Rita Darling, Wendy Darling (sister) and his lifelong friend John Casey. He is survived by his spouse, Lupe Darling (Stepson Peter De Armero), his daughter Kirstie Darling, siblings Michael Darling (Vikki), Deborah Darling, Christopher Darling, Marjorie Darling (Mardee), Mary Darling along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many long lasting, lifetime friends. If a man was judged by how many friends he had Charlie would take 1st place. The family takes great comfort in knowing that John and Charlie are together in heaven. The family will hold his memorial service on October 26th, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Crofton Country Club located at 1691 Crofton Parkway, Crofton, Maryland 21114. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Lifecare of Inverrary Nursing Home for their years of care, represented by Miss Laura's loving farewell gesture "we are family."
