Charles "Buddy" Silvanic Sr.

Buddy Silvanic passed away suddenly at his home in Dania Beach, FL on Saturday, May 25, 2024.  Born on December 6, 1948, to the late Frank and Helen Silvanic, he was a graduate of Johnson City High School, where he excelled in basketball and golf.  He married his high school sweetheart, Rose (Estelle) Silvanic, on October 25, 1969.  After his time in the service, they returned to Johnson City and raised their children, Charles and Tracy. 

Buddy loved the outdoors and enjoyed many years of golfing, fishing, and hunting in his younger days. He was a passionate sports fan, an avid reader, and kept his great sense of humor throughout his life. 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Rose, and his brother Don Silvanic. He is survived by his beloved companion Susan Barnes Kaufold of Dania Beach, FL; his children Colonel Charles (Alyssa) Silvanic Jr. of Springfield, VA, and Tracy (Sean) Barton of Orlando, FL; grandchildren Nathan and Samuel Silvanic and Jenna Barton along with many other family members and friends.

Buddy will be laid to rest with his wife Rose. Per his wishes, there will be no service.
