Dennis Franklin Peters, aged 81, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025. A beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Great Great Grandfather, Dennis’s life was marked by dedication to his family, career and community, leaving behind a legacy as both a loving family man and a respected professional.
Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on October 27, 1943, Dennis was the son of Samuel Peters and Nellie Scoggins-Peters and brother to David Peters and Randall Peters, all of whom have sadly passed before him.
Dennis was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Mary, with whom he shared 60 wonderful years of marriage and was blessed with four loving daughters: Marty Mager (Paul), Cathy Babbitt (Tim), Marcia Bradshaw (Brad), and Noreen DiEulio (Phil), grandchildren, Tom DiEulio, Jimmy Dobson, Stephen DiEulio, Adam Dobson, Lauren Mager, Kristen Dobson and Stephanie Dobson, as well as great grandchildren and a great great grandchild, who all brought immense joy into his life.
A man of great integrity and work ethic, Dennis's career in the title insurance and abstracting industry spanned more than 65 years, a testament to his dedication and expertise. Rising through the ranks, he served as the CEO and President of Chicago Title Insurance Agency for an impressive 55 years. He began his journey at Lawyers Title Services in 1960 and went on to shape the industry with his extensive knowledge in title examination and the preparation of title insurance commitments.
Among his professional milestones, Dennis was the president of the Florida Land Title Association during 1984 and 1985 and maintained long-standing associations with the Florida Land Title Association and American Land Title Association. He was respected as an industry expert whose counsel and insights were highly valued and often sought after. His contributions to the field were invaluable, and he was respected by colleagues for his wisdom and generosity in sharing knowledge.
Outside of his professional life, Dennis nurtured a passion for sports. He had been an avid golfer and loved cheering for the Miami Dolphins, Florida Panthers, and he never missed an opportunity to follow the PGA Tour.
Dennis’s legacy of love, hard work, and kindness lives on in the hearts of his beloved wife, Mary, his daughters, family and all who knew him. His charitable nature shone through in his donations to several causes, particularly those supporting the military, animal causes and law enforcement, to which he was especially devoted.
In remembering Dennis Peters, we celebrate a life well-lived—a journey marked by love and whose impact will continue to be felt through his family, career, and the countless lives he touched along the way.
There will be no formal services at this time. Dennis’s family asks for thoughts and prayers and invites those who knew him to honor his memory through charitable giving or quiet reflection.
