James (Greg) Gregory McCulty, of Syracuse, NY, was born on September 17,1947, and passed away on August 22, 2025, surrounded by his family.
The son of the late Jean and William McCulty, Greg proudly served his country as a United States Army Veteran during the Vietnam War.
Greg will be remembered for his warm heart, his desire to help others grow, and his talent for taking on challenges. For 25 years, he owned and operated The Sewing Machine Shoppe and Keeler Sales and Service in Rochester, NY, where he took great pride in the quality of his work and the strong reputation he built in the community.
Upon retirement Greg created a new passion business, Singer Decals. His craftsmanship and his commitment to quality is recognized worldwide, enabling authentic restoration of old sewing machines back to their original beauty.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Brennan, and his son, Kevin Brennan McCulty, along with extended family and friends who will always cherish his memory.
