James Portalatin

James Portalatin, age 64 died in Memorial Pembroke hospital on June 24, 2023 after a six-year struggle with chronic medical conditions. 

Jimmy was born in the Bronx, NY on November 1, 1958 he was predeceased by his parents Joaquin and Antonia ( Gonzalez )
He is survived by his spouse Don Ackerman, his brother Jose Antonio Portalatin and his sister Talula Portalatin.
Jimmy and Don were in a loving, committed relationship for 39 years.

Jimmy was a devoted husband, compassionate, kind, giving , friendly and loved life and people. He had a smile and presence that lit up a room and he enjoyed karaoke, dancing, theatre, music , helping people and loved spending time with family and friends.

A celebration of his life will be held on Aug 13th 2023 from 1PM – 4PM at the Westwood 5 Clubhouse located at 8300 NW 93 Ave, Tamarac, Fl 33321
