Joan Marie Lashley

Heaven gained another beautiful angel, but we lost a piece of our hearts.

She was a great mother whose love and guidance extended far beyond her own children—playing a major role in raising her grandchildren and even her great-grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent nurturing those bonds.

After a move to Florida, she embraced life with her usual warmth and enthusiasm. Among her many passions was her love for the casino, where she enjoyed the thrill of the games and celebrated a few big wins that brought laughter and stories to share with those she loved.

She is lovingly survived by her daughters Amy Munson and Dionne Hernandez; grandchildren Jocelyn Monroe, Kayron Munson, Miquael Dunbar, and Miquan Dunbar along with his wife Jessica; great-grandchildren Jaterius and Jedediah Monroe. She also leaves behind her sisters Dorothy Munson and Louise Austin, and her brother Herman Williams. Closest friends Pauline and John Dingle, who have been family to her through the years, share in this loss. She is also remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews.

Her legacy of love, strength, and devotion will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
