In Loving Memory of Jon Roberts

Jon Roberts, 48, was born on April 13, 1978, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and passed away on October 13, 2026, in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Jon was a funny, caring, and kindhearted man who had a way of making life a little more memorable simply by being himself. He had a big heart, especially when it came to animals, and his love for his pets was a reflection of the compassion he carried with him throughout his life.

Jon found happiness in the things he loved most: his movies, his music, his pets, and, of course, NASCAR. Racing wasn’t just something he watched; it was something he looked forward to every year, a passion that brought him excitement and something special to anticipate.

If you knew Jon, you could probably picture him in his element during the late hours of the night. He was a true night owl, often staying awake until the early hours of the morning with his favorite oldies playing and a Pepsi can close by. Those quiet, familiar nights were part of what made Jon who he was. He had his own rhythm, his own interests, and his own way of enjoying life.

Jon will be remembered for his humor, his caring nature, his love for animals, and the little things that made him uniquely Jon. Though his time here was far too short, the memories he leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Jon is survived by his sister, Lisa (Hyatt) Johnson; his nieces, Kayla Hyatt and Makenna Rossiter; his nephews, Dustin Johnson and Jayden Johnson; and his fiancée; Joyce Decesare.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pamela Householder; his brother, David Hyatt; his grandparents, Juanita and Jack Strickland; and his aunt and uncle, Wendy and David Strickland.

Jon’s story was his own, made up of the things he loved, the people and animals he cared for, and the moments that made him who he was. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by those whose lives he touched.

Rest peacefully, Jon. May the music keep playing, the Pepsi stay cold, and the checkered flag always be waiting for you.
