Julia Mary Preble-Janigian 09/21/1937 - 03/26/2026
Julia was born in Brooklyn, New York to Paul Andrew and Marie Galvin Preble.
She was raised in Manhattan, marrying her husband of 64 years, Peter Janigian in 1956. Together they raised two children, Peter Gary and Donna Lee, moving to South Florida in 1961. They had six grandchildren: Jennifer, Kaitlyn, Karlee, Steffen, Peter, Leah and four great-grandchildren.
Julia loved her family first and foremost, including her siblings; Bruce, Paul and Maureen. She was loving, caring, good natured and optimistic, making friends easily. She hosted and delighted in big family gatherings, vacations, traveling, learning, plants, and her many friends and pets...
In 1979 she graduated from Florida International University in three years with Highest Honors while keeping house and working in the family business. She served on the Board and was President of many civic and social organizations. Julia loved being a homemaker and worked as a social worker, teacher, and administrator. She was always grateful for the full rich life she lived.
Julia is predeceased by her parents, her husband Peter, and two brothers, Paul and Bruce Preble, all whom she loved dearly.
Her life was blessed by many, especially her sister Maureen Stecher, and her caretaker, personal assistant and dear friend, Trenell Jones.
