Mary Beth Zaman, age 56, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025, in West Palm Beach, Florida, surrounded by loved ones.
Born Mary Beth Williams on January 15, 1969, in Miami, Florida, she was the youngest of four children of the late William J. Williams and Joan A. Williams. She was raised in the Redlands, a rural farming community near the Everglades, where she developed a deep love for animals and the outdoors. As a young girl, she became an accomplished equestrian and cherished her horse, a pinto named Sally, whom she lovingly cared for and rode throughout the surrounding area. In her youth, she also enjoyed riding ATCs with her sister, Barbara, and shooting rifles, pastimes that reflected her adventurous spirit.
Mary Beth graduated from South Dade High School and earned her nursing license from Robert Morgan Vocational Technical School. She devoted many years to nursing, distinguished by her compassion, professionalism, and dedication to patient care.
Above all, Mary Beth was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter, Sophia. As a single parent, she dedicated her life to caring for and advocating for Sophia, who is autistic and disabled. Through Mary Beth’s unwavering love and sacrifice, Sophia has grown into a kind, well-mannered, and caring young woman. Mary Beth’s devotion to her daughter was the defining achievement of her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Sophia; her sisters, Joan Shallue and Barbara Beshere; her brother, William Williams; and her nieces and nephews, Katelyn Shallue, Janie Shallue, Caroline Williams, Will Williams, John Beshere, Troy Beshere, along with many cousins.
