Paul Wayne Chicoine passed away on July 15, 2025, in Pompano Beach, Florida, at the age of 80. Born in Ware, Massachusetts, on June 9, 1945, Paul lived a life marked by service, creativity, and deep devotion to those he loved.
He was the son of Bernard William Chicoine and Theresa Anita Chicoine (née Morin).
A Vietnam veteran, Paul served his country with honor. After his military service, he built a long career as a home inspector, respected for his sharp eye and steady judgment. He later shared those same skills as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, helping build homes for families in need.
Paul had a curious mind and a wide range of interests. He loved to read, explore the arts, and cook—especially when it involved a grill and a good meal shared with others. He enjoyed hiking, appreciated live music, and once even completed a marathon. He was also an avid golfer and motorcycle enthusiast, known for having discerning taste in everything he bought.
Above all, Paul cared deeply for his daughters. He is survived by his three daughters: Danielle Messier, Jessica Arther, and Sarah Whitehead; and by his grandchildren: Virginia Chicoine, Sam Arther, and Jack and Will Whitehead. He also leaves behind his siblings: Carolanne Kelley, Suzanne Miglucci, and Tom Chicoine.
Paul was cremated, and in lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor his memory to make a donation to Habitat for Humanity, a cause he supported through his time and skills.
