Rosario Lourdes Mijares Haggerty-Masters

88 years old and just 8 days short of her 89th birthday.

September 30, 1936 – September 22, 2025

Passed away peacefully at The Encore at Boca Raton Rehabilitation Center. Rosario was born in Bacolod City, Negros, Philippines.

“Rose,” as everyone knew her, was a very loving, caring, sweet, kind, and sassy lady. She loved being around her family and friends. When it came to dancing, she was right there dancing her beautiful dance moves. Rose will always be remembered as a joyful, sweet soul and stylish fashionista. She loved her jewelry and purses!

Rose is survived by her only sister, Josette Mijares-Navales. Even though she didn’t have any children, Rose was enlightened, cherished, and loved by her 11 nieces and nephews (children of her sister Josette), deceased husband Malcolm Haggerty’s children, and deceased husband Joseph Masters’ children.

In honor of Rose, a burial service will be held at Lauderdale Memorial Park on November 13, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, please kindly donate to your church in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Lourdes.
