Sandra Lynn Nelson

Sandra Sheppard Nelson, Age 71 of Pompano Beach, FL, passed away on February 17, 2026 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. 

She was Born on April 2, 1954 in Elgin, Illinois to Sarah and Glen Sheppard. Sandra was known for her generosity, sense of humor, and love for her family. She always made people feel at home and welcomed to her home cooked meals and special recipe. She will be missed but never forgotten.

Sandra is survived by her spouse, Donald Nelson; children, Timothy Chad, and Amy; sister Glenda; and beloved grandchild Ashley. She was welcomed into the arms of the angels by her loved ones that preceded her in death, her parents, Sarah and Glen Sheppard; brothers David and Steven.

A celebration of life service will be held once cremation is done it will be held at Trade Wind Park by Butterfly World. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Saint Jude's.
