Sharon Gayle Chenevert

Sharon Gayle Chenevert, 69, of Margate, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on April 19, 2024. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Katherine and Gail R. Chenevert.

Sharon is survived by her beloved son Joshua C. Chenevert and daughter-in-law Yoslaida Chenevert, fictive kin Terri and Jessica Merz, grandson Jeorge C. Chenevert, her caring younger brother Stephen Chenevert, niece Stephanie Chenevert, cousin Suzanne Chenevert Pracheil, and her best friend and sister by choice, Shari Vogel, along with Shari's husband Walter and grandson Logan, with whom she shared a special bond.

Sharon was a vibrant soul who made friends wherever she went. She had a passion for South Florida sports teams, especially the Florida Panthers, and was a huge supporter of the New Orleans Saints and the Pittsburgh Steelers as well. Her love for her Cajun roots was evident in her joy for cooking traditional Cajun cuisine.

A graduate of Wingfield High School, Jackson, Mississippi, class of 1971, Sharon touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and infectious spirit. Even as her health declined, she continued to cheer on her favorite teams and spread joy to those around her.

In lieu of flowers, the Chenevert family kindly asks for donations to be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, Women's in Distress, or the Humane Society in Sharon's honor.

Sharon's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A celebration of Sharon's life will be held at The Briny, in Pompano Beach, FL May 26, 2024 we will be sharing the zoom link on Sharon’s Facebook for those who would like to join from wherever you are in the country. All who knew her are welcome to attend and share their fond memories in person.
